What do I get with each download?

You will receive the preset or presets listed on the checkout page when you complete your order. Presets will be in .5xe file format. Preset packs will often be in .zip format and will need to be extracted after downloading.

I downloaded a preset… now how do I get it on my 500x??

You will need the Line 6 HD500x Edit Software. Here’s a link to the Line 6 software download page. Be sure to select your operating system. If you’re using Mac OS Catalina or beyond, you will NOT be able to use the Line 6 Edit software. See the FAQ about Mac OS Catalina compatibility.

I purchased a preset but I didn’t get a download link.

Download links will be emailed via the email address you entered at the checkout page. Be sure to check spam and promotional folders in your email if you don’t see the download email.

Mac OS Catalina compatibility

Line 6 released an updated POD HD500x Edit software that includes compatibility with Mac OS Catalina. If you're POD HD500x Edit software stopped communicating with your 500x, be sure to download the most recent release of the Edit software. As of now, it doesn't appear that the Edit software will be compatible with Mac OS 11 Big Sur.
